Scholarship Program

The Rock Island Arsenal (RIA) Chapter of the Association of the United States Army
(AUSA) is proud to contribute financial support to outstanding students based on academic merit. This scholarship is open to applicants meeting the eligibility criteria

  • Applicants will be limited to those whose home address is within the footprint of the
    Rock Island Arsenal AUSA Chapter 5102 region and individuals meeting one or more of the following: a member of the United States Armed Forces (Active, Guard, Reserve or Retired; a Department of Defense Civilian employee; Department of Defense contractor; A Veteran or as a member of the Rock Island Arsenal Chapter of the Association of the United States Army); Immediate family members of the above are also eligible. NOTE: Immediate family members are defined as children, stepchildren, children of legal guardian, or spouse.
  • Scholarship applicants must possess a cumulative grade point average above 2.50 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicants may choose to attend anyaccredited technical school, 2 year junior college or 4 year college or university.The scholarship will be forfeited if the student does not attend the specified program of study listed under their selected options beginning in the fall of 2016.

Previous recipients are scholarship eligible but will only be considered if insufficient applications are received by the scholarship committee. Please ensure your application is complete before mailing. The application will be disqualified if any required item is not included. The application and all required documents must be mailed together in one (1) envelope to the following address:

All applicants will be notified by email by 30 June 2016. Scholarship funds will be presented to the student prior to the fall semester. The awarded funds will be in the form of a check issued to the student’s college, university, or technical school. Recipients of the Chapter Scholarships and their guests will be honored at an AUSA General Membership meeting prior to the 2016 school year. The funds must be used during the 20162017 school year.

The RIA AUSA Scholarship Committee reserves sole rights to determine that each
applicant meets eligibility criteria as stated in the Scholarship Application packet. If you

RIA AUSA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2015-2016

AUSA ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: The Rock Island Arsenal Association of the United States Army (AUSA) announces the annual Scholarship program for 2015 – 2016 school year. Eligible applicants must reside in the RIA AUSA geographical footprint covering eastern Iowa and western Illinois identified in the application, and be associated with the military as a current military member, veteran, family member or DOD civilian. Applicants can download the linked application below and return it completed NO LATER THAN 1 May 2015 to the mailing address listed in the application package.  All applicants will be notified by e-mail by 1 June 2015.  Scholarship funds will be presented to the student prior to the fall semester. The awarded funds will be in the form of a check issued to the student’s college, university, or technical school. Recipients of the Chapter Scholarships and their guests will be honored at an AUSA General Membership meeting prior to the upcoming school year. The funds must be used during the 2015-2016 school year.
